Saur, a major player in water and sanitation services for local governments in France, decided to build a new data centre at Montigny le Bretonneux. The new data centre has to remain operational for a minimum of 10 years and consists of 550 servers installed in 330 m² of operational floorspace.
A Cat.7A copper cabling system with the GG45 connector was chosen to allow a potential future migration to 40G and maximise the opportunities for saving energy. OM3 fibre optic cables connect the server room with the switches in the back-up cabinets.
