Step 1 - Check Requirements
To run install and NED you will need:
- to be registered and logged in on the Nexans website
- MS Visio installed
- Windows 98, NT 4 SP5, 2000, XP or Vista
- 400 MHz CPU / 128 Mb RAM
Step 2 - Ensure MS Visio is installed.
NED will run with Visio 2002 SP2, 2003 SP1 or 2007 software. Update with the latest service pack (SP) available.
Step 3 - Install the XML parser file
Download and install MS XML Installation File.
MSXML4 is a Microsoft XML parser that is required by the NED application to read and write data in the XML format
Step 4 - Install NED
Download and install the NED Installation File. Click on the exe file to install it.
Step 5 - Install Nexans Visio Templates
Download and install NVT - Nexans Visio Templates.
Step 6 - Download Licence Key
To unlock the software you download the licence key
- Save the NED Licence File (ned_perpetual.lic) to C:\Program Files\Nexans
- Open NED
- Click on the ‘About’ button (bottom left side of the NED window)
- Click ‘register’ --> 'select file’
- From the ‘windows explorer’ popup window, navigate to the C:\Program Files\Nexans directory
- Select the "ned_perpetual.lic" file and click open
- Click on the ‘OK’ buttons to close the popup windows
