Temporary construction cables are used for maintance, repair and modification of overhead lines and electric power transformation substations. The cables act as a temporary bridging or apportionment of cable routes as well as emergency power supply. By using pre-assembled flexible outdoor terminations and special drums a fast and easy application on the construction site is reached. Usual single lenghts are 50 - 400 m.
All Nexans temporary site cables can be partial discharge tested after using.
