Nuremberg, Sept. 12, 2003 - The impressive history of the company today trading under Nexans Deutschland Industries GmbH & Co. KG began in September 1903 at Sieboldstrasse in Nuremberg.
With the acquisition of the toys and metal goods factory Köllisch, Fritz Neumeyer laid the foundation of a company which, within the Nexans Group, is today one of the leading European cable makers. The product range includes conductors for industrial automation applications and for the automotive industry, wires for household appliances and the lamp industry, as well as high temperature conductors, wires and harnesses for rolling stock applications. Among other projects, Nexans Nuremberg participated in the development of special cables for the guideway of the Transrapid trial track in the Emsland (Germany) - which is just one of the company's many success stories. In addition, the Nuremberg plant is a material development and process engineering center of the Nexans Group. New innovative material solutions or processing methods for different market segments are also developed at the so-called "Competence Center".
On September 12 and 13, 2003, the corporate anniversary will be celebrated together with customers, business partners, employees, and friends.
