The active system technology from Nexans allows you to network your offices cost-effectively and securely by using optical fibres. These intelligent, manageable switch systems can be installed in cable duct systems, floor boxes or communication pillars. The rear side of the system features a fibre-optic uplink interface which allows connection lengths of 550 metres and more to be bridged effortlessly. This does away with the need for floor distributors in order to network the building. PCs, notebooks and IP telephones can be connected directly to the switch system via the standard twisted pair interfaces in Gigabit Ethernet technology, or even be powered by the system if necessary.
