Project description:

• Extra protection with specially designed backfill plough.

Project challenges:

• Protection of a 10" steel pipeline
• A backfill of one meter was required, in the clayish seabed, to provide weight to prevent upheaval buckling.  
   

Nexans' solution: The 10” pipeline was buried to 1.5 m with the Capjet. A special backfill plough was developed in record time to provide the extra 50 cm of backfill to meet the requirement of 1 m. A complete backfill run was made along the entire length.
