GPH’s mechanical cable lugs are assembled with multiple shear-off-head bolts and are therefore a reliable and economical way of connecting identical or different conductor cross-sections and conductor materials. Using mechanical cable lugs allows a larger, multi-range conductor cross-section even for terminations. Mechanical cable lugs are generally tinplated and are offered with different palm holes, just like compression cable lugs. The installation can be done with common commercially available inner and outer hexagon tools. All mechanical connectors and cable lugs of Nexans Power Accessories are electrically tested according to IEC standard.
