Zajadacz to become distribution partner for ship and marine cables from Nexans Deutschland
Service for subcontractors
Hanover, December 4, 2014 – From 1 January 2015, Adalbert Zajadacz GmbH from Neu Wulmstorf will act as distribution partner for ship and marine cables from Nexans Deutschland. The cables, which are manufactured in Mönchengladbach, will be warehoused by Zajadacz in a state-of-the-art logistics centre near Hamburg. Zajadacz will serve Nexans customers subcontracted for electrical installation work in shipbuilding and electrical engineering and ensure that even cables ordered at short notice are pre-cut to length, labelled and delivered. Nexans Deutschland will continue supplying its biggest customers directly.
Founded more than 80 years ago, Adalbert Zajadacz GmbH now operates 21 sites and is growing all the time. The distribution of ship cables from Nexans constitutes the perfect addition to the full range of products offered by the electrical wholesaler.
The Nexans plant in Mönchengladbach is the Group’s largest ship cable factory. This central location manufactures high-quality ship and marine cables for a wide range of market segments. Nexans cables can be found in not only cruise ships, yachts and ferries but also tankers, container ships, towboats, supply ships and naval vessels. The Mönchengladbach location is home to a team of ship cable experts who offer a first-class, high-availability service and promote innovation initiatives.
With its diverse range of products and extensive production and research facilities, Nexans will continue driving innovation and developing new products and services for the shipbuilding industry: cables that are easier to install, more flexible, reliable and environmentally friendly; that perform better in the event of fires; and that are very long-lasting. Another aspect is the development of new customer services in the area of design, customised pre-cutting, labelling, pre-assembly and just-in-time delivery.
