TwitterNexans wins a contract worth 52 million euros for the supply of high-voltage power cables to Kuwait
Paris, 24th April, 2002 - Nexans, the worldwide leader in the cable industry, has just won a new 52 million euro contract in Kuwait for the supply and turnkey installation of several 300kV high voltage power cable connections in Kuwait City, between the Salmieh X substation and six other peripheral substations.
Nexans' teams of High Voltage specialists based in Kuwait, Norway, France and Switzerland will carry out the installation work, which must be completed in 22 months.
"We are pleased to have been awarded, our second large contract with the Kuwait Ministry of Electricity and Water this year, thus confirming our forefront position in Kuwait's electrical power installations", stated Yvon Raak, President of Nexans' Energy Division.
